Copyright at SDU: Newspapers

Ordinary newspaper articles are protected by the law on copyright.

If you want to make use of the Danish and foreign newspapers, that the library has online access to, you have to be aware of the following rules:

Articles found in Infomedia, Lexis-Nexis or PressDisplay may not be placed on Instead you have to link to the database.

If you want to use newspaper articles that are not found online, you will have to ask for permission in each case.

With regards to paragraphs in newspapers, you can usually assume that these are not protected by the copyright rules. However, remember that you still have to name where they come from.

For further information, please contact Line Kronqvist Jensen or Jens Dam at the library.
