AI is impacting research, information and literature searches both now and in the future. ChatGPT and CoPilot are just some of the well-known GAI models, with more being added all the time.
SDU employees and students as well as OUH employees has access to Scite AI
While GAI models and tools can be a great help in parts of the review writing process, they don't eliminate the need to search for literature, GAI models are only a help, but they are not the solution in review writing, and you should always be critical of the suggestions they make.
More reviews are available on the subject e.g.: van Dijk SHB, Brusse-Keizer MGJ, Bucsán CC, et al. Artificial intelligence in systematic reviews: promising when appropriately used. BMJ Open 2023;13:e072254. doi: 10.1136/bmjopen-2023-072254
Quoting from GAI tools?
Always remember to be fully transparent when using tools, including GAI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot. It may not always make sense to refer directly to GAI tools, which is just a tool and therefore not responsible for the answers it provides. The responsibility is yours!
That's why it's advisable to write a declaration of use in the methodology section. You must state where, how and why you have used it.
If you use content created by GAI e.g. texts, images, data, video or other
You might include prompts (Must not contain sensitive or confidential information) and answers in your appendices.
Always check answers and data because GAI tools can hallucinate (i.e. create incorrect information based on probability).
