Definition - Hvad er Scientific Literacy?

Scientific literacy kaldes ”videnskabs-kompetence”

Videnskabs-kompetence er:

  • viden og forståelse af videnskabelige begreber, processer og metoder
  • ved at man kan læse og forstå videnskabelige artikler eller andre kilder
  • at man kan forholde sig kritisk til mediernes fremstilling af videnskab (gennemskue fake news)
  • at man kan fremlægge, evaluere og argumentere for videnskabelige resultater
  • og dermed kan stille og finde svar på videnskabelige spørgsmål
  • og endelig at man kan beskrive og forklare videnskabelige fænomener
